Privacy Policy

Overview

FaceSwap AI lets you upload a motion video and a character image to create an AI-generated video. This policy explains what data is processed when you use the app and website.

Data we process

  • Media files you choose for generation, such as videos and images.
  • Generation settings, including orientation and sound preferences.
  • Technical data needed to operate the service, such as request metadata and app tokens.
  • Subscription status and purchase metadata handled through Apple and RevenueCat.
  • App usage and product analytics events, such as onboarding, paywall, purchase, generation, save, and share events.
  • Attribution and campaign data, device and app information, and identifiers used by analytics, subscription, and attribution providers.
  • Support, privacy, abuse, or rights reports you send to us by email.

How we use data

  • To upload selected media and generate the video you request.
  • To provide subscriptions, credits, restoration of purchases, and customer support.
  • To understand app usage, onboarding, paywall performance, purchases, and generation reliability.
  • To measure install sources, campaigns, and marketing attribution.
  • To keep the service reliable, prevent abuse, investigate misuse, and enforce our terms.
  • To comply with legal obligations and respond to valid rights or safety requests.

Face data and express permission

The character image and motion video you select may contain a person's face. To perform the generation, the AI model temporarily analyzes visible facial appearance, position, expression, and movement in those files. FaceSwap AI does not use this information to identify or authenticate a person and does not create or retain a biometric identifier or faceprint.

Before the first upload, the app names the recipient and asks for your express permission to send the complete selected character image and motion video, including any visible faces, and generation settings to fal.ai (Features & Labels, Inc.). If you do not agree, the files are not uploaded. You can withdraw permission under Account at any time; the app will ask again before any later upload.

Service providers

Media uploads and AI generation are processed through the FaceSwap AI backend and fal.ai, operated by Features & Labels, Inc., which receives the selected image, video, generation settings, and generated output as our service provider for upload storage and AI video generation. Media is stored on fal.ai's CDN and processing infrastructure and may be processed in the United States or other locations where fal.ai and its infrastructure providers operate. FaceSwap AI does not share face-containing media with PostHog, AppsFlyer, RevenueCat, or Apple.

Purchases and subscription access are processed through Apple and RevenueCat. Product analytics are processed through PostHog. Attribution and campaign measurement are processed through AppsFlyer. We require service providers that process personal data for us to protect it to the same or an equivalent standard described in this policy and applicable privacy requirements.

Analytics and attribution

We use PostHog to understand app usage and product performance, including lifecycle events, onboarding, paywall views, subscription purchase flow, generation status, saves, and shares. We use AppsFlyer to measure installs, attribution, and marketing campaign performance. Analytics and attribution events may be linked to a RevenueCat customer identifier or provider identifier so events can be understood across sessions and subscription states. We do not send your uploaded photos, videos, or generated videos to PostHog or AppsFlyer as analytics event content.

Media and AI outputs

FaceSwap AI does not sell your uploaded media. We do not use your selected media for advertising. After you give express permission, media is sent to fal.ai only to upload, process, and deliver the generation you request and to operate and secure that service. It is not used by FaceSwap AI to train AI models. Under its service terms, fal.ai may create anonymized or aggregated usage data to operate, monitor, support, improve, and develop its services; FaceSwap AI does not authorize use of identifiable face-containing media for advertising or biometric identification. Access may occur only when necessary to secure the service, comply with law, investigate abuse, or handle a support request you initiate.

Safety and allowed content

Do not upload or generate content involving minors, nudity, sexual content, non-consensual intimate imagery, harassment, impersonation, misleading deepfakes, or media that violates another person's privacy, publicity, copyright, or other legal rights. We may restrict access, remove content, or cooperate with service providers and authorities when content appears to violate these rules or applicable law.

Retention

The selected image and video and the generated video are configured to expire permanently from fal.ai's CDN within 24 hours of upload or creation. Storage of the AI request's input and output payload is disabled. FaceSwap AI does not copy face-containing media into its server database; it retains only non-media operational records such as a job identifier, status, credit transaction, and timestamps as needed to operate and secure the service.

The app may store saved uploads and generated videos locally on your device until you delete them in the app or remove the app. Withdrawing consent prevents new transfers but does not undo a transfer already requested; those media files expire under the 24-hour rule. Contact us at the address below if you want help with a deletion request.

Security and international processing

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data processed by the service. No internet service can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Because our service providers may operate in different countries, your data may be processed outside your country of residence where privacy laws may differ.

Cookies, analytics, and tracking

The public website is intended to be simple and does not require an account. The iOS app uses analytics and attribution tools as described in this policy. If we add website cookies, advertising pixels, crash reporting, or similar tracking technologies, we will update this policy to describe what is used and why. You can also use iOS privacy settings to manage tracking permissions and advertising-related identifiers where available.

Children

FaceSwap AI is not intended for children. Do not upload media involving minors. If you believe a minor's data or likeness has been submitted to the service, contact us so we can review the issue.

Your choices

You control which media files you select for generation. You can delete local gallery items inside the app, restore or manage subscriptions through Apple, and contact the operator for privacy requests.

Privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain processing of your personal data. You may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. Contact us to make a request.

No sale of personal data

We do not sell your personal data. If this changes, we will update this policy and provide any choices required by applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app, providers, or legal requirements change. The updated date on this page shows when the policy was last revised.
